I share your frustration. You are always faced with whether you believe its a short term issue or whether the investment process is flawed. I have chosen to give GC1 a chance to redeem themselves. I have phoned and spoken to MG and I feel that his fund meets my needs and that he will get it to improve. It also doesn't turn around in a week or even a couple of months so I have let him understand that what I am looking for is an LIC that addresses the smaller companies but that also is looking at the fundamental basis of valuations. I am also looking for some balance within that process.
I have decided that I want to see improvement by the end of June and then some consistency thereafter.
As regards MG's nomination as a prospective director at BHD - I think that group of companies has long had a question mark around them and a shareholder it seems is trying to clear the decks. It is pleasing that MG was selected to represent the group of shareholders - It in many ways shows he has credibility.
