Does anyone know what we might expect from the deep drilling to over 1000 metres? With gold grades increasing at depth it should be interesting to see what we come up with. At the moment drilling has only been to just over 200 metres. Is there any likelihood of finding other mineral deposits e.g. copper, nickel, zinc etc?
This is from the 20 Dec announcement:
"Several deep holes, planned to depths greater than 1,000 metres will be drilled, with anticipated commencement late in the June Quarter 2013. These holes will be based on current geological models with the aim of placing the existing mineralisation and associated alteration into a regional spatial and temporal context. Information from the drilling will be used to guide resource delineation strategies."
Sounds like real "greenfields" stuff so could be quite exciting I would think? Or not? Have we already had these results?
