You miss one point.
Look at just about every ASX silver junior.
They're all in a similar malaise.. No 'Rising Stairs' I'm afraid.
Feel free to point out any that are booming, and I'll probably buy it.
Speaking of your gold junior, you don't have to be Einstein to see that trend, but all your eggs in one golden basket? Seriously?
I have a few myself, and maybe looking at what, maybe 20-40% over the last 3- 4 months?. Yeah, so?
As for BC8,, it's a producer already! ..N'est Pas??
IVR is an 'explorer hopeful' closer to the better end of Lassondes Curve than may others,, - so, it's a totally different ball game. (I've owned and traded BC8 btw)
Here's the point you miss. I think like some here, I'm hoping to catch a new trend as Silver starts to shine. Admittedly it's (POS) a spooky little character that is prone to all types of anomalies in the trading world. (And not for the feint hearted- or impatient). But as most of us know when it starts to catch up , it does it in a way that eclipses Gold. (and that normally occurs not long after Golds move up) Check it's history, and double check the fundamentals - you know, supply demand,, that kind of stuff?
So,, Gold low-midcaps at 20-40% ? And Silver? History, shows a shedload more than gold in the catch up.
I apologise, as I'm a little greedy. I'm hoping for 50-100% from my gold producers, and MULTIBAGGERS from my silver juniors.
Are we positioned a bit early? ... mmmm,, Yeah maybe.
Wrong company? .. mmmm,,, Yeah maybe. (but I've got a couple - and why not?)
Picking a junior explorer is like that. Risk/Rerward ratio to keep in mind.
But the rewards can be huge , so some are willing to take a position (like some of the Silver investor greats, like Sprott) ?,,
(give him a call and ask him why he's so stupid? - and why he is so patient?.. and let us know what his answer is? - )
To exclude silver co's from your portfolio, I think is missing a huge reward/risk play.
Silvgo may have a point re ASX juniors compared to TSX, but I'm limited to 'local hopefuls'. The potential is still there.
As for management, (providng they're not lifestylers - and I know of a few - I don't believe these guys are) ,, bla,, blah,.
Wait for the tide and tell me if it doesn't lift most boats.
Think about it,,,
20-40% PLUS possibilities of Multibaggers.. No brainer for me.
