Telstra is a peculiar stock because it is half owned by the government. I believe Telstra is hamstrung with this part ownership structure. You see it as a positve while in reality it is perceived as a major negative.
If you use technical analysis, a definite downtrend is evident at the moment. The rally we just witnessed (resignation news) just fast tracked telstras shareprice back to the top of the downwards sloping channel. If we use chart history as a guide, then expect TLS to show some weakness over the short term.
I did post a graph the other day on TLS, and many people have discussed TLS in the recent past.
