"Australia’s Crown Resorts Ltd is set to bid for a US$2 billion (MOP16 billion) casino complex in Las Vegas, Reuters reports.
The news agency quotes the Australian Financial Review as saying Crown Resorts will lodge an expression of interest in buying the Cosmopolitan casino and hotel complex in Las Vegas, which is owned by Deutsche Bank AG.
The report says the complex is expected to fetch US$1.5 billion to US$2 billion.
Crown is controlled by Australian tycoon James Packer. Mr Packer also controls one-third of Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd, which runs the City of Dreams casino-resort in Macau.
