Maybe so maybe so but the US is not the only DOD which would be interested in an Ottowa compliant minefield system - which is relocatable, lethal and non lethal and zonable.
I can suggest a number of conflict/potential conflict situations where such an area denial system would be chosen as superior to other solutions - and cheaper.....
and that is just one of the obvious applications that have been covered by the recent patent announcements.
Singapore's STK have already committed to lifecycle support of 3GL and they are major suppliers to the NON US DOD buyers. Canada is looking at MAUL as well as the US Marines....
Do not forget Pyrogenix and fire in high rise buildings - as the world population rises more high rise will be built and the laws of Physics demand an alternative to current systems above a certain height building...
Of course fireworks come to mind for a peaceful application of a Redback variant - which the recent patent on aspects of Redback may well be relevant....
Oh and the scalable nature of the tech means that although pistols and hand guns are on the back burner now....this could change very quickly in the right circumstances....especially as the lethal no lethal choice is available.
So I am quite optimistic that the next two years will be exciting and profitable despite the many dilutions....
