The outrage as you put it, is in my opinion, simply people who only think in terms of themselves and simply espouse the opposite of what everyday Australians think and believe in.It is nothing to do with "modern day politics" rather it is to do with having respect for fellow human beings who are less advantaged then oneself.

Sorry v but you are being far to sensitive over a non issue and a very reasonable and innocent statement. I am well versed in disabilities I have a 14 year old son with Downs Syndrome no sane person ever wishes they had a disabled child doesn't mean you don't love them or won't do anything for them.
