If I'm not mistaken, with this revelation it really seems that SDL has lost alot of the advantage it would have had for being in West Africa so early. Whilst all it's neighbours have in effect gained alot. There would be no chance that SDL could own the railway line now and make big money off it by charging an arm and a LEG for it's use. It sounds as if many that bought in were counting on this being the case. With POSCO building the railway to Mbalam, SDL will actually have to pay exactly the same amount to use the railway as would it's neighbours. No perks there.
Interesting times in WA.
