Just curious - at what price do shareholders think Conti could/should be taken over for? At at current MC of 67m it has to be appearing on the radar for a few large Indian or Chinese power companies on the look out for cheap coal assets. Conti's 565mt in SA is currently valued by the market for 11.8c a tonne. Never mind what might come out of Botswana.
I would imagine that Socius, holding almost 14% will want more than 43c per share, given that this was their initial buy in price.
Personally I would like to see Conti go for at least 70c, given that most shareholders will have bought in at around this price.
Thoughts?
