The most recent breakout was from $35.50/$35.75. It traded there on Friday and bounced. Technically it is important support. The reason the DOW fell 150 points in the last 40 minutes was that a number of market information servers, particularly Bloomberg, went down. This triggered selling coming into the weekend as traders couldn't monitor positions. This is unlikely to happen again on Monday, so combined with a quiet weekend, I believe the US will be fine. BHP was trading 50c higher and still closed unchanged in AUD terms.
