Tiger, if you read the announcement, The Board only "anticipates" maintaining their interim dividend and may well be advised not too maintain it, and yes, the dividend will be "declared" tomorrow, but it may be declared anywhere in the vicinity of 0 to 3.5c.
As a devil's advocate, Director's buying signals may not always be bullish, and in my view, the buying may well have been ochestrated to be released before the details of their half yearly being announced, so as to perhaps somehow create a floor for the dwindling share price.
I have learnt that things are never what they seem.
Please remember that their is a possibility that the half yearly may be wonderful and a full 3.5c fully franked dividend will be declared - however, what I am saying is that, in my view, it is improbable and unwarranted. It will be their business decision either way.
For speculators, there is apparent risk at around 28/29; much more than at 24/25.
