Mercury Brands Management Group Restructure

Mr P Thomas appointed Managing Director, Mr B Santamaria appointed Chief
Executive;

Brendan Santamaria, with over 10 years industry experience will focus on sales and
marketing, product design, manufacturing and logistics. Brendan has resigned from
the board of directors;
·
Phillip Thomas, with over 25 years finance, securities and public company
experience will focus on capital structure, banking and finance, acquisitions,
corporate and investor services;
·
Mercury Brands now have two senior executives that can deliver on the strategies
set by the board that will increase earnings per share, and improve performance in
line with shareholders expectations.
The Board of Mercury Brands is delighted to announce the appointment of Phillip Thomas,
53, as its Managing Director. Phillip has more than 5 years experience as Managing Director
in a public company. Brendan Santamaria has stepped down from the Board to fill an
equally important role of Chief Executive focusing on the sales and operations of the
business.
Michael Abela, Chairman said he believed investors would benefit from the new
management team structure, and felt very positive about the skills and experience Phillip
brings to Mercury Brands. Having Phillip proactively manage the capital structure,
acquisitions, investor and financial interface will leave Brendan to focus on growing sales
revenue and managing the deliverable side of the business.
While Mercury Brands has fine tuned its business scale to survive the current business
downturn which is only impacting in selected product areas, the Board and executive team is
planning for dramatic improvement over the next 12 months to turn around profitability.
