what real progress has been made?

After reading the "Open Briefing for 2009&2010" not much progress has been made on securing a licensee for Laninamir outside of Japan, to state the obvious.PC argues repeatedly that "both we and co-owner Daiichi-Sankyo see Laninamivir as a valuable product for our shareholders....Daiichi-Sankyo is making a very large investment in Laninamivir in taking it to market. We remain focused on crystallising the best value we can in the shortest possible time frame"
    Some questions to consider-
How close is the relationsip between DS and Biota?
If BTA &DS are sharing the commercial returns from licencing Inavir outside Japan, what are the terms?
If Inavir is such a break-through for the treatment for influenza and with particular advantages for stockpiling..then
what role does the World Health Organisation play in ensuring that BARDA funding is made available to BTA?
If the big pharmas are playing hard ball, which is obvious, then what are the alternatives and what is BTA doing?
