why are you asking the question from a fundamental point of view mookie?
with a inflation mentality, we all expect prices to be more expensive next year. It encourages us to get into debt...(which is how money is created by a private consortium).
what im asking is to view things from a deflation mentality, when you think prices will be lower next year! would you get into debt to buy a plasma at $1500 today, when you believe that it will be $1300 next year? NO.
Would you buy BHP today at $41 when we are in a bear market and you think the price will be $39 next year? NO
