Hedge job im talking about cattle being driven to market ...not a wild(free) herd...but I will agree with you in one respect.
Occasionally when the cowboys were driving their herd to market there would be a thunder storm or something that badly spooked the cattle herd & set them running through the controlling cowboys & fences etc...for those brief periods the cattle were free & uncontrolled ...those periods have an analogy in markets also...imo these are crashes ...but the uncontrolled periods rarely last long imo....again just as the stampeding cattle are soon bought back under control by the men on horesback.
All just unsubstantiated rhetoric on my part of course ...but that is in keeping with the HC tradition anyway.
