You MUST be listening to the media and that QAN spin doctor Olivia Wirth, as he is the one quoting 12% higher wages than Virgin for baggage handlers. Have you ever heard of creative accounting? They probably compared the lowest Virgin salary to the highest QAN salary?? Think about it, they (QAN) are always going to try and make QAN staff look greedy as it helps their cause, it is part of the media ploy by QAN to suck people like you in and believe that all QAN workers are overpaid and greedy.
The 71% people are talking about is not an accounting re-statement as you put it, it is the actual salary increase for A. Joyce in the last financial year. Now that is greed that even Gordon Gecko would be proud of!
