It's not the act or intent itself that is random. It's being able to predict what happens next, based on the different market participants motives.

My argument is that you can't use that piece of information to predict future price movements. Nor does the mornings buy order provide predictive power. If it did I'm happy to listen to everyone's predictions, It can only go up or down right?

I know people will disagree with me on this, and that's fine. TA has a cult like following, so do FA groups. Each to their own. I believe in the long run prices will revert to the mean, so certainly there are inefficiencies to exploit.
