It's been down to HIV for quite a while now. Many here have known this for a few years now. The five cent CR, that I was ridiculed about, is ever near. There has been no announcement abandoning HCV.
Trouble is (and you are right), MM has no respect and has not admitted it (except possibly by omission). Yes they are probably dropping the HCV FDA study after their "success", however they have so far, failed to tell shareholders about it. The recent annual report is the last we heard about HCV and she was still banging on about:
.................. "the Company will progress discussions with potential partners in established and emerging markets such as China. It has been estimated that there are up to 30 million HCV‐infected people in China. This compares to 3 ‐ 5 million HCV‐infections in the USA. "
