When I was in business one of my suppliers was taken over by a legit Chinese couple.
He told me that Chinese would often buy $2 shops and the like which they could run at a loss for a while as a path to citizenship. It was a family affair with relatives in China supplying goods and later making their way here as well.
I've also seen a number of Indians open restaurants, cook the books, not pay suppliers, not pay rent, sell the business and disappear.
Leaving the new gullible owner out of pocket with a dud business.
