spilt the $50k into 5 lots of $10k or 10 lots of $5k. investigate a basket of say 20-30 shares that you watch and choose 5 or maybe even 10.
PPS, EOS, NEA might be some of your speculative numbers. But the same time some great players with the end of CV19 panic SYD, CSL, VTS, CKF even Qantas have some value as they have futures ahead. maybe plug in a few dividend numbers as well, YAL is paying 8% after tax. loads of choices out there, but from experience sure bets can quickly turn into dogs of shares as well.
