    kennyg, i agree with thorburn. It's likely to unravel so rapidly (remember September 2008) that the stampede for the exit with leave the masses crushed.

    Given the developing risks in the global macro environment, the prudent investment strategy should be to sell equities and commodities while securing risk free cash positions. Australian government guaranteed bank term deposits are returning a high yield relative to comparable nations. This is practically a risk-free investment given Australia's low level of public debt (ie. extremely low sovereign debt risk over the next few years). While faith in our banks may be tested over coming years, our government should be able to maintain the public's faith - unlike many other indebted nations.
