Certainly the share price of CU6 remained elevated for the 9 trading sessions immediately after SX 300 inclusion, and the higher level of shorting remained for 13 trading sessions after inclusion, and both share price and level of shorting fell away thereafter. By that stage the upward momentum of share price had evaporated.
Now we're at a substantially different stage of the price cycle (and also of the general market). The 'cream' that was present earlier on for shorters is far less attractive I'm sure, whether that impacts on the level of shorting now will be interesting to observe play out.
