For those of you that don't read the West Australian Newspaper, or missed the article, (reading between the lines), this may be a snippet of good news on Fracking in WA, published yesterday.
The article is headed: Pressure on Premier to Ban Fracking.
On the one hand, the article talks about some of WA's most powerful unions ranging against Fracking, and the ALP passing a motion (bowel- I suspect), seeking to have it outlawed.
Cabinet will soon decide whether to totally ban or exempt certain locations in WA from fracking.
The inquiry conducted by Environmental Protection Authority boss Tom Hatton, whose report was handed to the Premier weeks ago, but he is yet to respond.
Now the good news quoted in the same article:
Quote "IN A BLOW TO ANTI-FRACKING CAMPAIGNERS, it is believed the Hatton report finds that fracking can be done in an environmentally acceptable manner".
Mr McGowan said yesterday that he was "aware" of the State executive motion and Cabinet was considering the inquiry with a view to releasing the document before Christmas". Unquote.
IMOO, DYOR, Not financial advice in any form.
I hope that this will be a very Merry Christmas for all of our SH's
