Of course rejection of the offer will see it withdrawn.
Of course the government will defend itself in court.
Of course the company will have to comply with regulations and policies.
Of course it is a decision for the shareholders.
Nothing new here; especially in relation to the tone from a newspaper that has gone out of it's way to destroy the company through it's poorly written and biased articles.
