Yak regarding the hypothetical
If the US had not got involved (by that I mean troops,etc the hold deal) I’d take a punt and say at worse the Germans under Hitler would have been able to hold enough ground to allow full development of the their Hydrogen Bomb program.
It’s my understand they were well advanced if not ahead of the rest of the World at the time.
The first to see delivery would have been the USSR which Hitler had no like of, then once used the balance would have to make a choice which would have been no choice at all.
All Jews in Europe would dead or out along with anyone else that didn’t fit Hitters mould. (Muslims included)
Diverse culture in Europe would be gone and replace by Hitler choice.
So any Dill that can’t see that the US involvement in Europe was not decisive is well … a bloody idiot!
