If the futures market is flooded with poxy precious-metal 'paper', then it follows that gold & silver producers provide a 'safe harbour' - ie. they are digging up metal, not paper.

Manipulation news has been precolating under the mainstream radar for years now - GATA and others have been voicing their concerns as the authorities refuse to conduct proper audits.

This has the potential to blow-up in the faces of some very dodgy public figures.
