Wanless hasnt really shaken up the waste industry for a long time - from my eyes they havent invested much in the business and i haven't seen them winning any/many major contracts. I have viewed them as a business in a holding pattern or decline, rather than a business in a growth pattern - previous selloffs of interstate divisions support this perspective.

The original sale price figures kicking around were much more than the final sale price. odd.

I dont think this is such a good move for Tox - apart from the monopoly of Jones and the loo business (which i have no idea how much it delivers), the core waste business is up against huge opposition in Qld.
particularly as JJ's continue to seek to dominate key regional areas, Remondis acquired Thiess waste and are growing, and the big multi nationals continue to fight on price, Qld is a tough market.
