The Cheaper version of FTTN is not upgradable to FTTH and would leave Australia at a disadvantage in a very short space of time.
Fiber to the Node is good, just add a Fiber media converter and plug in coax (FoxTel), twisted pair (Copper Phone Line) to the home. Coax is faster.
Later if one chooses, remove the media converter and plug in fiber direct, easy to upgrade.
