    My understanding is that the NBN is going to provide FTTP for everyone and that FTTN has already been ruled out hence the hefty price tag.

    There will be instances of maybe leaving coax or using wireless for more difficult areas, but I understand that the copper phone lines will be decommissioned which is why NBN compensated Telstra!

    Glug maybe be able to correct me here if a I am wrong, but I understand that NBN Co will not be using the existing aged copper phone lines to the premise as part of the NBN roll out.
