Thanks for posting these Domum - some very divergent views.
Always questioned the motivations of the Chinese media - there was a report on CCTV9 (China english language channel) saying China was scaling back projected copper smelting growth. This confused me until two weeks later the 'rogue trader' copper shorting scandal broke. Then the report made sense. Same with your LME trader in London - I'm sure his bonus will look better with copper at US$12,000. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out on the demand side. On the supply side we're still a year or two away from a response. The Copper bulls and bears are playing footy. The bulls have it at the moment.
