Drug company has licence suspended
Australia's largest manufacturer of complementary medicines has had its licence suspended.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration found a series of serious safety and quality breaches at Pan Pharmaceuticals in Sydney.

The administration says the breaches include substitution of ingredients, manipulation of test results and substandard manufacturing processes.

Pan Pharmaceuticals manufactures medicines such as herbal, mineral and nutritional supplements.

The regulator has also ordered an urgent recall of more than 200 products manufactured and supplied by the company.
