How can you have prosperity without thriving businesses?
Is a first rate education system and outstanding funding for the public system. A tertiary system which is reasonably priced and accessible to all strata in society. Don't make it that eventually only the very wealthy will be able to attend the best institutions.
Focus on basics of learning esp. at the earlier levels and on real skills for employment.
Don't pass people because they are paying for a qualification as it downgrades the worth of that bit of paper.
Maintain and expand tolerance and freedoms for all.
