I have started averging into BHP from this morning. Never held it before but believe it will be an excellent long term investment (10 years +)
As a business it has a number of competitive advantages - scale, long life resources, diversified across resources and geography, low cost of debt.
By my calculation the current SP is very close to intrinsic value, calculated on conservative growth metrics.
