Long term the gold price will go up- therefore the key to buying gold shares now is to buy quality ones. Unfortunately that's easier said than done, which is why the only gold share I own is SLR. It has consistently met the markets expectations over the 3 years I've been following it- hopefully it will continue to do so in the quarterly report, which will be critical.
