The Australian dollar is driving everyone absolutlely crazy. I believe earnings of a lot of companies will be affected. Also a lot of foriegn money has been flowing into the Aussie markets chasing higher rates of return , I believe this started happening when the Aussie was around 72c (high interest rates betting on a higher dollar)

Importers, distributors are having a hard time betting where it is going, therefore price adjustemts are now being made on a nearly weekly basis as they battle competition and parrallel imports. The net effect is goods are cheaper whilst you have to sell more at an increased margin to make the same profits. And so the wheel keeps turning.

Not sure if money is still flowing in, but I think the smart money is already here, and here to stay for awhile.
