Talking about the Superpit there are a lot of things to ponder when they eventually go underground. Firstly you must consider that the deepest levels are more than 4,000 feet deep & the area has been continuously been mined since 1892. A lot of the ground has been shattered & there are some very big open holes down there. The gold lodes vary both in width & angle of dip, some being vertical lodes & others being almost flat lying. Whoever is in charge of underground mining they will find it will be a challenge & ounces will not be cheap to produce. I spent the first 2 years of my mining life down those dirty black holes on the Great Boulder Mine. It will not be easy.
