I have been investing for 30 years and have run my own SMSF for 10 years. I am comfortable with the strategy and the outcomes. I do not lie awake at night worrying about what the next day will bring. I think I would feel vulnerable and somewhat exposed having a major portion of funds in one sector. You must have nerves of steel. Hence my diversified portfolio with a slant to growth depending on how the market looks. Balanced portfolios are important for people with a lower appetite for risk and are prone to anxiety and stress. Each to their own.
