Its simple really,lock them up for life,no parole. They should be working 10 hours a day 6 days a week.That would ensure the tax payer doesn"t fund them. They could benefit the community"s well being knowing they will never be a part of the community.There are many different types of weirdos who should be made to serve this type of real punishment, not just locked up. It would also serve as a dis-incentive for the institutionalized type of criminal.( you know the type,don't care if they are caught because they get the comfort of 3 meals a day & a roof over their head & get to spend all day with their mates doing bugger all:)) It would also solve a lot of the problems in jail. They would be to buggered to fight. No time to take drugs therefore less graft. A safer workplace for guards because after a hard days work its a shower, dinner,& back to their cell to sleep.Just to repeat the whole process again.It would also help K RUDD to spread his infastructure spending dollars. just a few thoughts off the top of my head.
