I don't know how they feel Slappi.
I have been in the SES, CFA and Mine rescue for about 10 years between them all, and I don't know what makes these people tick.
I don't know the answer to what should happen to them when they are caught because there is obviously something wrong with them, but then again we have gaols full of people who obviously have something wrong them.
