Pistolstar, it is a bit of a puff piece but nonetheless I thought it was a pretty interesting (and balanced) discussion of the current state of affairs. It highlighted the industry push towards interpretive culture imaging and the fact that TLA may be cost prohibitive for many labs. To me this painted the perfect picture of where APAS products will sit in the market. The fact is you can't discuss the automated microbiology market without discussing BD and Copan..currently they are the only real players, they are the industry. Their systems are the only ones the microbiology community can evaluate and consider for purchase and BD/Copan customers are the only ones you can interview for real-world experiences with automation.

No doubt the APAS line-up will be part of the dialogue in the near future.
