Mate the carbonate, mostly calcite is an alteration mineral which is expelled onto sea floor along with the metals. Since it is not a far traveled component within these systems it is considered a proximal alteration mineral.
The silver in Broken Hill type deposits tends to occur as tetrahedrite-Argentotennantite inclusions within the galena along with other weird species, but yeah they are all in the Galena.
Sphalerite can carry economic quantities of In and Ga but usually when it is the Wurtzite poly morph and low in Fe contents but these are rare in BHT's.
