For starters this is a pilot trial designed to acquire a data set from scans of real life stroke patients. The information acquired will be analyzed and then used to tweak and improve the algorithms and overall design of the device to progress us to a pivotal trial later this year.

Don’t forget this device is not designed to replace CT or MRI, it is a different modality and will compliment the other technologies.

If EMV can deliver images that correlate well with CT then I will be very excited. What’s more important will be the comments and feedback from the clinicians they work with.
