Atomou, excellent point about sacrificing someone with less talent than that of Turnbull.
I still don't think that Abbott will get it though.... mores the pity!
I think Bishop will be a Deputy LEader at some stage, either now or at the next shot, with Robb being likely.
Anyhow.... the Australian people don't need to worry too much for at least the next 6 years, and more likely more than that. The ALP has learned a lot from the 70's, as proved by Hawke and Keating, and to be confirmed yet again by Rudd (although I personally would prefer a less 'New-Labor' type).
Beggars can't be choosers though.. at least now we have a government which will be focused on more than the purely economic aspects of Australian society.
