Yeah , simple maths MIGHT do it but that would oversimplify - the numbers you throw around are not realistic at all - potato thinking - mashed potato.We would expect China GDP to surpass the US sometime in the next decade or so but per head of population US will still be the richest country . US and China similar size (area) and US has more raw materials , and certainly a lot more than India . No doubt China is a rsing power and US will not be the single great world power that has dominated the globe the way it has in recent decades . But China will not replace them in that way . There'll be a power balnce between the two . Certainly tensions , big tensions , but hopefully a peaceful power balance .

The thing these "China will surpass the US" guys don't understand is China has no friends. America has the entire anglosphere and most of europe and Japan and possibly India on its side. China speaks for China USA speaks with the world
