I have been giving a lot of thought, research and discussion to this deal that our Chairman has done, in isolation I must say, to hand OUR company to a private company, which removes any possibility of a future takeover by another company, therefore pegging its value at $2.75 max, which in my opinion is way too low. Len seems to have made his mind up that Novomatic is the company for him to hand control to and NOT put the company up for sale to flush out interested parties, which almost all companies do, its the right thing to do for ALL the shareholders. Now Novomatic are a great company, huge, profitable, growing and so on BUT they are a private company and AGI will become a part, a small part of them in time. AGI is a growing company, profitable, low debt, very low P/E but has a 90+ chairman and major shareholder who has decided $2.75 will do him, although he says its not the money and I believe him BUT what about us the other shareholders it very much is about the bloody money.
My opinion is this deal should be rejected and either carry on as is or put the company up for sale and see who is interested and at what price. Len has said he wont sell to anyone else and that astounds me, again what about us, as I say Novomatic might well be the best option for us but lets test the market, it is the right thing to do.
