The trouble is that generally in some people such possessions define them. Without them they have little inside. They have difficulty dealing with the lack of self as it really is. To have more than others and thereby demeaning others is the only road to self value. However it is a drug. The rush of something new and expensive. It must be followed by a bigger "hit". Eventually like any drug there becomes a tolerance.The rush must be bigger,to trick and deceive others is the only way to get money for the drug. It all comes undone..eventually.It is inevitable .Just time. As is said so often here on HC patience.
The lad in gaol should have become better at remorse and made a legal version of atonement.
For those waiting and looking over their shoulder, be careful of those who seek to destroy those who think they are better than everyone. Those people dont want money. They want your weakness. That is the prey upon which they feed.
