I agree with you. I posted a couple of days ago saying the banks would be stupid for not rolling.

This is the safest and quickest way of getting ALL their money, including any accrued interest.

Sending them to administration is a sure way of losing money from the banks perspective.

The problem of this forum is that people can say what they like with little regard to truth...

Having worked in the area of a bank that would have approved something like this deal I can say the banks wouldn't have been losing sleep over this extensions. They were probably just waiting for any competitive bid.

though it still may happen, the banks are pretty much assured of their money either way...
