Your mention of propylene glycol got me interested. That chemical is in tons of skincare products, but the concentration is usually on the order of 2% or less, and that amount is considered safe (1).
But Lubricen contains 30% propylene glycol, so one wonders if that level is also safe. I found this information sheet indicating that 50% concentration has been identified as the maximum safe level for an occlusive dressing :

The other main ingredient by volume is ethanol. That is apparently safe for use under a dressing at very high levels (here is one test at 85%).
