Good point Surydad and it a real option for many. I'll quote directly from the article;

....ET Mining sales manager Ewan Trott said the shortage of underground mining equipment and the activity from both a global and local markets was being noticed in the second hand equipment sales.
"Hiring equipment is a good option for fill in units while orders for new equipment are fullfilled" he said.
"However, even good quality second hand equipment is becoming hard to locate, and if you find any the prices are on the up"..."we are even getting some OEM's (original equipment manufacturers) ringing up and discussing hire in the aid to hold or secure sales of new equipment".

Personally I say lets keep ours ready for mining and not hire to anyone.

Bermuda, I also heard the hourly $ amount for when they'll be mining the bonanza zones.

Lets put it this way, we definately won't need the $ from hiring out our mining fleet in the meantime!
