Gamefisherman; I totally agree that MNE's focus should be (and will be) on their Mindanao projects, however, due to the lack of news currently, and out of general interest, we may learn something from their Australian tenements. Any knowledge is useful.
Zed; With regards to the recent soil and trenching results, they appear very impressive. However, if I was a skeptical investor watching from the side lines, I would also consider the fact that no mine was ever built upon said sampling methods. Granted, soil/trenching geochem give great indications of potential areas of mineralisation, but its drilling, whether it be diamond or RC, that gives the ultimate answer.
Keep in mind that there a very few 'perfect' discovery holes from the first round of drilling, and as such, don’t expect a golden goose to land on MNEs lap straight up. Drilling and exploration is a very pragmatic process, and can take some time. One thing I always consider when expecting drill results is: Olympic Dam was discovered (supposedly) on the very last drill hole of the programme, and it was on the whim of geologist who decided to design the hole contrary to all other holes drilled in the area.
You can't rush a good drilling programme, and I would rather wait a few extra weeks to have all my questions answered rather than have a rushed announcement which creates new unanswered questions.
